Getting Started

How do I get Covenant for my community?

Start by booking a free demo with our team. We'll walk you through the platform, discuss your community's needs, and handle the entire setup process. There are no long-term contracts — you can cancel anytime.

How long does onboarding take?

Most communities are fully onboarded within 1–2 weeks. We handle resident account setup, document uploads, and feature configuration so your board and management team can hit the ground running. Data migration from an existing platform is available as a premium service.

Can I import data from our current system?

Yes. We support data migration from most community management platforms including spreadsheets, accounting exports, and resident directories. Our team handles the migration for you. Data migration is available as a premium service at $5 per unit.

Do residents need to download an app?

No. Covenant is a progressive web app (PWA) that works in any modern browser on phones, tablets, and computers. Residents can optionally add it to their home screen for an app-like experience — no app store required.

Platform & Features

What dashboards does Covenant include?

Three purpose-built dashboards: a Resident Portal for payments, requests, documents, and community engagement; a Board Dashboard for financial oversight, voting, ARC review, and governance metrics; and a Manager Dashboard for operations, multi-channel communications, and resident management.

How does Cove AI work?

Cove AI is powered by OpenAI's GPT-4o model. Upload your CC&Rs, bylaws, and governing documents, and residents and board members can ask questions in plain English. Cove AI responds with cited answers referencing the specific section and page. Your documents are never used to train AI models.

Can board members vote online?

Yes. Covenant supports online voting for elections, resolutions, and polls with automatic quorum tracking, proxy voting, and owner/tenant eligibility enforcement. Vote results are instantly available to the board.

Does Covenant support amenity reservations?

Yes. Communities can set up reservable amenities like clubhouses, pools, tennis courts, and guest parking. Residents can book time slots directly from their dashboard.

Pricing & Billing

How is pricing calculated?

Pricing is per-unit per-month with three tiers: Essentials ($1.25/unit), Core ($2.50/unit), and Prime ($4.00/unit). Each plan includes a monthly minimum and a one-time onboarding fee ($499, $999, or $1,499 respectively). Visit our pricing page for full details.

Are there long-term contracts?

No. All Covenant plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitments. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time.

What payment methods do you accept?

Community subscription fees can be paid via credit card or ACH. Resident assessment payments are processed securely through Stripe and support credit card, debit card, and bank transfer.

Do you offer discounts for management companies?

Yes. Management companies with multiple communities receive portfolio pricing with volume discounts and a dedicated account manager. Contact our team for a custom quote.

Security & Privacy

How is my community's data protected?

All data is encrypted with 256-bit AES encryption at rest and TLS/HTTPS in transit. We use bcrypt password hashing, role-based access controls, automated brute-force detection, and comprehensive audit logging. We comply with MODPA, CCPA, and GDPR.

Is data shared between communities?

Never. Each community's data is logically isolated. Your community's information is never accessible to other communities on the platform. Management companies with portfolio access can only view data for their assigned communities.

Can we control what features are enabled?

Yes. Community administrators can enable or disable features like AI, social feed, amenity reservations, and SMS notifications through the platform's feature flag system. This gives boards full control over their community's experience.

Support

What support options are available?

All plans include email support with 24-hour response time. For faster response, Priority Support is available as a $99/mo add-on with a dedicated account representative and 4-hour response times. We also offer onboarding assistance and a comprehensive knowledge base.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?
